MY GOODNESS, is it FINALLY done? I started this back in February...that means I've been working on it for 4 months. Wow. But for a large portion of that it was just sitting in my desk, forgotten...I only really kicked butt these past couple weeks.
Anyway, this was an excuse to practice my prismacolor skills disguised as a trade with *awaicu. I hope you enjoy it! Oh, and check out her amazing half:
I apologize for not putting a background or anything...I was just...done with it.
Your style is very effective. One of my favorite aspects of this piece is the transparent wing and elemental effects. It seems very 'otherworldly'. The entire picture definitely draws in the viewer, and they will expect a story to go along with it. This is an amazing beast, here, along with a fitting title.
The left front leg appears quite close to the viewer, more than the rest of the body. It may have been better to make the front half of the animal also closer. so that it would be angled and slightly coming at the viewer.

Very nice work.
